That is soooo on fire! Incredible tone! Incredible playing! Incredible band! I need one of these basses and rigs. The only other like-minded tone I have heard reminiscent of this is when I saw John Paul Jones live opening for King Crimson for his Zooma tour. Custom 8 string running through an SVT-Classic. And Nick Beggs on Stick. Best sound and tone I have ever heard in a live setting.

Love your work Tim. Really liked Anthem. Can hear all the nuances of that line crystal clear. I always knew it was a good one but didn't really get how good till I heard you play it. Then I remembered seeing Geddy Lee do it live in 77. That one is his masterpiece. He says himself if lots of bass not so much vocal and vice versa but this one is not at all like that. Both maxed at the same time. Got a few local guys here who are fans of yours too. As Canadians we get an extra bonus cos and I don't know if this will mean anything to you, but for us its like watching Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart play bass. 👍👍

I've played with 3 Rush tribute bands (Drummer) and 5 bass players. Out of the 5 there was only one that could nail it and we he left, I did too. Playing with a bass player that can nail it makes it fun to play. Otherwise ya never know what kind of concocted riff will be substituted to throw the drummer into a pissed off WTF are you doing tizzy! You nail it and the extra notes I've heard you play on other tracks/live here and there are nice... Rock on.....

Here's my "I wanna buy it" story: Some time in about 2000 I went into a tiny music store in Winter Park, FL. In a strip mall, no bigger than the inside of a Checkers. Just browsing. I see this anomaly on the wall: A 12-string bass. I said to the guy, hey, Doug Pinnick from King's X plays one like that. He goes, take a closer look. It was Doug's bass, autographed by all three members. $2,000. I wanted to buy it so friggin bad but I was so poor at the time. Cried me a river of tears that night.

Not a fan of the tone. I know it's close to the original but the constant string twang detracts from the clarity of the notes.
